It would be more difficult to find articles like this in mainstream USA media since capitalism reigns supreme and you don’t dare talk about not spending… unless it’s the government talking about spending on women’s programs or benefits for poor peeps.  The truth is that the business driven propaganda to buy buy buy is poured on the American public day and night, for all of their lives from all sorts of sources not the least of which is television.
