Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, has said this about climate change (sorry, New Jerseyians):
In Christie’s May 2015 editorial, the governor argued that “to truly seize the potential of the North American energy renaissance, we need to build the Keystone XL pipeline, lift the ban on crude-oil exports, create fairness in the way the energy industry is regulated, and expand research into new technologies.”
In December that same year, Christie appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to deny that climate change was an imminent threat to the planet.
“We cannot say that our activity doesn’t contribute to changing the climate,” Christie said. “What I am saying is that it’s not a crisis. … I just don’t buy the fact that it’s a ‘crisis,’ I just don’t.”
