BREAKING: Dakota Pipeline Can Move Ahead Despite Tribal Protest – Law360

Law360, New York (September 9, 2016, 3:01 PM ET) — A D.C. federal judge let construction go forward Friday on the $3.8 billion Dakota Access pipeline in North Dakota despite high-profile protests from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and others, ruling that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had “likely complied” with its duty to consult with the tribe over potential damage to sacred sites.

Well, seriously, when has USA politics and lawmakers really truly given Native Americans truly fair – and lasting – deals?  Only when it suits them – like, hey, you wanna open up casinos so we can all gamble? Cool.  lol  But when it’s like, hey, you have valuable assets on your land that we really want… naw, don’t think so.
