It’s a Bugs Death, for Three out of Four: Part B – Paul Beckwith
In many apocalyptic dystopian movies, we see scenes where civilization has collapsed, nobody is around, and there are cockroaches scurrying throughout derelict ruins of buildings. Thanks to incredible scientific advances on development and deployment of super-pesticides, these movies have it all wrong. There won’t be any cockroaches, or any other bugs around. In fact we are presently killing insects so efficiently now, their absence may in fact accelerate our collapse, and we will have to rewrite these dystopian movie scripts.
Thanks!
